What to ExpectWe know that finding a church home can be a long and sometimes scary process. Here at Clarendon, we hope you will feel as comfortable as possible whether you are a regular attendee or first time visitor. There will always be a friendly face to welcome you at the front door and point you in the right direction. The greeters are happy to answer your questions and would love to hear your story. Feel free to grab a cup of fresh coffee and a donut or muffin from the table in the back before the service!
In their own words, here are the experiences of some recent attendees:
I truly feel I was led to the Church at Clarendon by God. Having just moved to the area from small-town West Virginia, I had a strong pull to find a church where I would be accepted for who I am. One Sunday, I planned to attend church with a friend, but he became ill and could not meet. So, I decided to go by myself. As I was driving down the rode, I saw the steeple in the distance and decided I would give 'that church' a try. I was greeted and immediately put at ease by a group of wonderful individuals. The people, the music, and the message felt strangely familiar and comforting. Now, I tell others about the Church at Clarendon and encourage them to attend with me. I want to share with them the sense of community and belonging with which God has blessed me.
At the Church at Clarendon I meet God through worship, prayer, the message, and the people, who really mean it when they say 'Come just as you are.'
I didn't know what to expect when I visited the Church at Clarendon. I'm glad I clicked so quickly with the church. It is the right mix of everything! Dave too liked the service because he thought is was so laid back. He said he will be coming again. Josh
I knew there was something special about the Church at Clarendon the moment I walked in the door. It eventually become my home away from home; and the church helped me understand the importance of Christian fellowship. Rachel
