Choosing to Trust!

For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” Romans 1:17 (NIV)

We must make so many decisions each day. I don’t mind admitting that some days, all the choosing can be overwhelming for me. I must choose to trust God or trust the lies that the enemy tells me. I must choose to trust Holy Spirit’s wisdom or lean to my own understanding. I can choose to look to God for everything I need or to strive and strain to provide for myself. EXHAUSTING, I tell ya!

My encouragement for us today is to keep choosing to trust in the Lord. Yes, life is filled with uncertainties and unkindness abound. Trust that Jesus Christ is sure and stand upon the promise of God, despite what you see. Yes, people will fail you and let you down. Trust that God is a Keeper and a very present Help in the times of trouble. Yes, our bodies and minds can fail, and disappointment is always a possibility. Trust that living by faith means abundant life on earth and eternal life with Christ in heaven. Trusting is a choice that is made easier in community. When we share our stories, release our fears, and give others a chance to walk with us, we will find that the burden of choosing to trust is made lighter. Today, entrust your uncertain days into the dependable hands of your certain God. #Amen

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So, we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Psalm 46:1-2 (NLT)

Loving and praying for you,
Pastor Danielle
