Do You Hear What I Hear??
Then the Lord answered me and said: Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so that a runner may read it. For there is still a vision for the appointed time; it speaks of the end, and does not lie. If it seems to tarry, wait for it; it will surely come, it will not delay. Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NRSV)
As you may know, this is the time of the year when I become very reflective as I evaluate the year that has been and prepare for the year that is to come. I enjoy looking back and remembering the days that are behind me, even those that were difficult or challenging. Because, after all, there are lessons in it all.
As I am reflecting and preparing for next year, I invite you to share with me your thoughts and reflections about where we are and where you sense God to be taking us in the future. What are your hopes, dreams, and desires for our church and community? What do you need that we can provide? What do you have that you can share? What are we doing well? How can we continue to become better together?
I am reminded of a lesson that we learned while studying Experiencing God. The truth is that the vision for any family, community, or church is not best discerned by one, but by all. I often start our Wednesday night Bible Study by asking “What are you hearing?” Well, I want to know.
Please consider this your invitation to share with me your needs, concerns, and visions for our Church. I humbly ask that you share from your heart that which you believe GOD to be saying to you. The only requirement is that you be prayerful, respectful, kind, and loving in whatever you share. I am eager to hear from you at [email protected]!
Loving and praying for you,
Pastor Danielle
