More Than the Eyes Can See
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 (NLT)
The wonder of the Advent and Christmas seasons is connected to our expectation and excitement about the unknown. Yes, we understand that Christ has come and is coming again. But, when, how, and where will He show up? We know what Christ can do, but what will He choose to do today in our lives and circumstances? Today, remember that God is well able to do than your eyes can see. Christ is present and moving among us. He desires to bring miracles, signs, and wonderful blessings into our lives, perhaps in new ways and by different means.
Advent reminds us to take the limits off. The blind can see. The barren can conceive. Royalty does abide with common people who have great faith. What are you expecting to see and experience in this season? Be alert, so that you don’t miss what Christ has for you. It is more than you desire and far beyond what your mind can comprehend. He wants to bring His very presence and power into your life. Christ wants to be with you, to guide, comfort, and strengthen you for the present and for what is up ahead. Will you receive Him? Will you recognize Him when He arrives?
Loving and praying for you,
Pastor Danielle
