Can You Go Three for Three?

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. James 5:13-16 (NLT)

During the month of June, I will dedicate this space to asking us to pray for three minutes for three very specific people/situations. Change is often incremental. We may not notice that we are maturing, developing, and growing day-by-day, but eventually the cumulative impact of our small positive steps will be evident. With this truth in mind, do not take lightly the power of a one-minute prayer, prayed from a sincere, faith-filled, and open heart.

Today, let’s pray for : 1) a friend who has recently experienced a disappointment, death, or trying dilemma 2) a young person who has/is graduating from school on any level and 3) your own heart to heal – so that you can receive all the grace, love, and peace that Christ has for you. Three prayers. One minute each. #letsgo

And, if you have not yet done so, download the Prayer Blitz Calendar. If we have ever needed the Lord before, we sure do need the Lord now!

Loving and praying for you,
Pastor Danielle
