Thankfulness that Overflows
And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7 (NLT)
I am so grateful for the time that we shared last Sunday. It truly humbled and delighted my heart that so many came, virtually and in-person, to both our morning worship service and the short-film premier. I am still making my way through the many cards and gifts that you gave to me, and I promise that I will acknowledge them all.
I felt loved, valued, seen, and appreciated. Sometimes, being a pastor can be overwhelming and many of us can question whether what we do really matters, not so much to God, but to the people that we serve. These feelings of isolation and discouragement have been magnified during the pandemic, causing some to leave pastoring and ministering altogether. While I understand the ups and downs of ministry very well, I am glad that my pastoral experience has been so extremely positive. I have been the blessed recipient of abundant kindness, encouragement, and support in the first 5 years that we have walked together. You are a generous, unique, and spiritually curious community. Thank you for caring so well for me and thank you for loving Christ and being salt and light in our world. I look forward to our community expanding, growing, building, laughing, and making more memories as we keep Becoming.Better.Together.
I am still soliciting volunteers to participate with us on next Wednesday at 7pm for our Pre-Thanksgiving Testimony, Prayer, and Praise service. Can you and your family join us? Will you share your voice with a Bible passage, reading, prayer, or testimony? Please, let me know today!
Loving and praying for you,
Pastor Danielle
