Can’t Turn Around!
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)
The hymn writer tells us that “We’ve come this far by faith.” And no matter how far we have come – whether we think we should be farther along or not – the statement is nevertheless true. It is our faith that sustains us. It is faith that carries us through and carries us forward. Faith is a central component to our lives. We have faith in so many things and people. Yet, to be the most successful, our faith should be fully anchored in Jesus Christ.
In the month of July, we will press deeper into our 2023 theme of Togetherness with a sermon series entitled Counter Cultural. By faith, we must be convinced that God is empowering us to think, speak, interact, and live much differently than the world around us. We cannot merely fit in; we have been called to stand out! It will not always be easy to love, forgive, give, and receive like Christ did. Nevertheless, this is our mandate and there are blessings awaiting us on the other side of our obedience. I hope you will journey forward with us, for truly we have come too far to turn around now!
Loving and praying for you,
Pastor Danielle
